Achieve your health and wellbeing goals with the RESET model

The RESET model is a unique coaching approach that combines my experience in health and wellbeing coaching with my professional background in psychotherapy. This model is specifically designed to guide you through a personalised process of change, helping you reach your health and wellness goals with tailored steps to transform your life.

What is the RESET model?

The RESET model begins with an authentic exploration of your personal story. Just like any story, your journey starts with your unique strengths and challenges. As your coach, I’m here to listen, understand, and help you define where you are now and where you want to go. I’ll help you uncover what might be holding you back, and together, we’ll work on overcoming those obstacles.
By choosing to work with me, we will co-create a personalised plan focused on whole-health and wellness, using the five key steps of the RESET model to work towards lasting transformation. Each step is designed to address your individual needs, making sure your plan is tailored to your unique goals, challenges and aspirations.

Why choose Health Coaching?

Health coaching is about more than just physical health—it’s about a holistic approach that includes mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Whether you’re looking to improve your mental clarity, build healthier habits, or reduce stress, health and wellbeing coaching can provide the guidance and structure you need to succeed.

What does RESET mean?

The word “reset” means to start over or restore. In the context of the RESET model, it stands for a structured approach to health and wellbeing coaching that helps you overcome obstacles, restore balance, and make sustainable changes in your physical and psychological wellbeing. The five steps of the RESET model aim to empower you to unlock your potential, achieve your goals, and experience a transformative shift in your overall health and wellness.

The word ‘reset’ is defined as “to start over again, to restore” and here RESET stands for:

Reality

As part of the health and wellbeing coaching process, I will guide you through important questions to delve into where you currently stand and where you want to go. Together, we’ll explore your values, beliefs, and life goals, helping you gain a deeper understanding of your personal journey.
Where relevant, we will also examine key areas including:
  • The experiences you’re facing today
  • What has influenced your past and how it impacted your mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Your strengths and challenges
By addressing these questions, we can co-create a personalised formulation that helps identify the contributing factors and maintaining influences affecting your current situation.

Eat

Diet and nutrition are at the heart of this model. How and what you eat has a direct affect upon your metabolism and overall physical health. It also impacts psychological health. I offer an assessment of your diet and a personalised nutrition plan as part of the RESET model.

Sleep

Sleep problems can exacerbate existing health problems and can contribute to the onset of others. Poor sleep can affect your mental health, immune system, and physical wellbeing, making it harder to achieve your health and wellness goals. Together, we’ll identify practical strategies to improve your sleep quality, to help you get the rest you need to feel rejuvenated and energised each day.

With personalised techniques and a focus on healthy sleep habits, I will help you establish a routine that enhances both your mental and physical health, contributing to a more balanced, vibrant life.

Exercise

People who exercise are less likely to develop metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes (1) and research conducted by the World Health Organisation in 2019 (2) reported that exercise can contribute to improved mood.  The main message here is “just do it!”  Together we will find out what your “it” is…

Tension & Stress

Tension and stress can be motivating, positive forces (think nerves before a job interview). However, if they become chronic and out of your control they can cause inflammation which negatively impacts the body and mind (3). Furthermore, relying on unhealthy coping mechanisms like alcohol or highly processed foods to manage stress can exacerbate the situation, leading to even more health complications. This is why learning how to reduce stress effectively is essential for your overall wellbeing. Reducing stress can mean both short and long-term interventions and I can help you identify the ones that fit for you; that are tailored to your unique needs and lifestyle. I will support you in creating a balanced approach to stress management, to help you find improved mental and physical health.
