FAQs

What is a Nutrition and Health Coach?

The UKIHCA gives the definition:

“Health and Wellness Coaching is a client-led, collaborative process that aims to promote self-management, self-empowerment and equip an individual to adapt positively to their internal and external environment to create a state of resilience through the pursuit of activities and a lifestyle that cultivates their whole-health continuum.”

2024 UK & International Health Coaching Association Ltd.

For how long do you work with clients?

I aim to work around the individual needs of each individual client. Change can be a complex process which requires time to unfold and embed: three months is a realistic amount of time to allow for this change process to occur. However, it can be a longer or shorter process and I am open to working with clients for different time periods.

Do you have your own insurance?

I have professional and public liability insurance coverage in the UK, European Union, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands arranged by Balens Limited, Tel: 01684 893006

What issues can I work on with you?

I am a Nutrition and Health Coach which means I am trained in supporting whole-health, personalised, lifestyle and behaviour change but unlike doctors, dieticians and nutritional therapists do not diagnose health conditions.  I am particularly interested in supporting adult clients who wish to reduce their weight and who are transitioning through perimenopause/menopause and into post-menopause. Because of my therapy background I am well placed to support clients who are particularly impacted by stress and feel stuck and overwhelmed by this.

Do you offer psychotherapy or health coaching or both?

I have developed RESET as a way of offering therapeutic techniques as part of a nutrition and health coaching model in order that therapeutic ideas can reach more people who are looking to make lifestyle changes to their lives but are not looking for therapy.  The RESET model is not pure psychotherapy and therefore I will not be acting in the sole role as psychotherapist if I work with you.
